London Uncut
Location
London, UK
Date
December 2024
Role
I independently directed, shot, and edited this observational short film. From selecting the locations and planning the visual flow to capturing real-time soundscapes, every aspect was handled solo. As the editor, I chose not to use narration or music, instead relying entirely on natural sound and visuals to maintain authenticity.
Project type
Observational Documentary
Shot an observational film capturing a full day in London.
This 4-minute piece stands out for one reason: there’s no narration, no music, no voiceovers, just pure visuals and raw, unfiltered sound. What you see is exactly what you hear.
It’s a deep dive into the observational documentary style, where the emphasis is on diegetic sound and natural environments, the kind of everyday details we often overlook in the noise of voiceovers and polished sound design.
This project pushed me as both an editor and a videographer. It taught me how much story, emotion, and rhythm can be shaped simply through framing, sound, and stillness, without saying a single word.
